Privacy policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

This policy covers the website www.waxpe.net: people who visit it, people who write to us and people who log in to the Waxpe software. It is provided under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who handles the data

The data controller is Waxpe. For any question about your data, write to info@waxpe.net.

What data we process

  • Browsing data. Like any website, the server records your IP address, browser, the page requested and the time of the visit. This is needed to run the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Data you send us. If you write to info@waxpe.net, we process your address and your message in order to reply.
  • Login data. Users of the software log in with email and password. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

Cookies

The site only uses technical cookies needed for it to work. It does not use profiling, analytics or third-party cookies, which is why it does not ask for your consent.

  • PHPSESSID: keeps your session open while you browse; deleted when you close the browser.
  • obiadmin_remember: only if you choose “Keep me logged in”, it recognises you for 30 days.
  • wx_lingua: remembers the language you viewed the site in, for one year.

Fonts are also served from our own server: the page does not contact external services such as Google Fonts.

Purposes and legal basis

  • Replying to people who write to us: pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
  • Security and proper operation of the site: legitimate interest of the controller.
  • Access to the software: performance of the contract with the school or centre you work for.

Data of schools and their customers

Schools and centres using Waxpe are the controllers of their own customers’, instructors’ and staff data. Waxpe processes it on their behalf, as data processor, solely to run the service. For that data, please refer to the school’s own privacy policy.

Where it is kept and for how long

The website and the software are hosted by Aruba S.p.A. on servers in Italy; Aruba acts as data processor. Data is not transferred outside the European Union and is never sold or passed on to anyone.

Browsing data is kept for the technically necessary time; emails for as long as needed to handle the request; login data for as long as the account is active.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format (Articles 15–22 GDPR), by writing to info@waxpe.net.

If you believe your data is not being handled correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the authority of your country.
